In-Person Counseling in Charleston, SC and telehealth across South Carolina and North Carolina

About

Elizabeth Lee, Licensed
Professional Counselor

If you're struggling with anxiety, OCD, or persistent self-doubt, you may feel stuck in cyles of overthinking, reassurance-seeking, or fear that won't quiet down no matter how much insight you have. Therapy with me is focused on helping you break those patterns and regain a sense of calm, confidence, and trust in yourself.
I'm Elizabeth Lee, a Licensed Professional Counselor based in Charleston, SC, and I've been working with individuals since 2001. I specialize in treating anxiety disorders, including OCD, and I work with clients who are tired of feeling controlled by their thoughts, worries, or urges.
My approach is thoughtful, structured, and compassionate. I use evidence-based treatments such as Cogntive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure Response Prevention (ERP), while also paying close attention to your individual experience. Therapy is collaborative. We move at a pace that is supportive, but also meaningful, so real change can occur.
I don't believe in quick fixes. I do believe in helping people understand how their minds work, learn skills they can rely on, and build resilience that lasts beyond therapy. Clients often tell me they feel deeply understood and more hopeful about their ability to handle life's challenges.
Reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step. If you're considering it, I invite you to contact me to see if we may be a good fit.

How I Work

I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) — a highly effective, research-backed approach that helps you understand how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected.

With CBT, we’ll identify unhelpful thinking patterns and develop new ways of approaching challenges that can lead to lasting emotional relief. I also incorporate Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) when working with OCD.

Therapy is always a collaborative process. You are the expert on your life — I’m here to guide and support you along the way.
