About
Elizabeth Lee, Licensed
Professional Counselor

Hi, I am Elizabeth Lee, a Licensed Professional Counselor based in Charleston, SC. I help adults and teens overcome anxiety, OCD, and stress-related challenges so they can live more peaceful and confident lives.
Since 2001, I've worked with individuals who feel stuck in patterns of overthinking, fear, or self-doubt. Together, we explore things driving those feelings and how to gently shift them. My approach combines evidenced-based tools like CBT and ERP with a warm, supportive style so you don't feel like you are doing it alone.

Therapy with me isn't about quick fixes, it's about creating real change by understanding your mind and building skills that last. My clients often tell me they feel heard, understood, and hopeful again.

I know reaching out can feel scary. But taking the first step might be the most powerful decision you make. If you're ready to begin, I am here to walk with you.

Services
Taking the first step to reach out for support can feel overwhelming — but you don’t have to do this alone. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, OCD, depression, or navigating a major life change, therapy can help you feel more grounded, empowered, and understood.

What I Treat
I work with adults and teens dealing with:
-
Generalized anxiety and excessive worry
-
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
-
Panic attacks and phobias
-
Depression and low self-worth
-
Stress, burnout, and overwhelm
-
Life transitions, grief, and relationship challenges

How I Work
I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) — a highly effective, research-backed approach that helps you understand how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected.
With CBT, we’ll identify unhelpful thinking patterns and develop new ways of approaching challenges that can lead to lasting emotional relief. I also incorporate Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) when working with OCD.
Therapy is always a collaborative process. You are the expert on your life — I’m here to guide and support you along the way.

What to Expect
My role is to support and guide you with compassion, honesty, and practical tools. We’ll work together to make the changes you want to see — at your pace, in a safe and supportive space.
